After graduating with a BA in Anthropology from Harvard University in 2001 she worked as a production associate at NPR for national programs Talk of the Nation, Weekend Edition Saturday, and Radio Expeditions, a co-production of NPR and the National Geographic Society.
In addition to working in public radio, Jane has edited and written for seven books in the Let's Go travel guide series, including on-location writing for current titles Let’s Go Chile 1st Edition, and Let’s Go Australia 2004.
Jane's fierce loyalty to public broadcasting and a passion for exploring new ideas make working for Marketplace the perfect fit. Her other interests include the Boston Marathon (which she ran in 2001), printmaking, and exploring culinary culture.
A consummate traveler finding it hard to settle down, she plans to make the most of her current stability by exploring all that is weird and wonderful in Los Angeles. Born in Middlebury, Vermont, she has studied in Nairobi, Kenya and Santiago, Chile. One of her life-long dreams is to see Antarctica, the only continent she has not yet visited.
The business world can be a real pressure cooker. Don't take out your frustration on the interns — duck into The Marketplace Confessional and let off that steam anonymously.
