Amy Scott
Amy Scott is something of an accidental journalist, with a background in documentary filmmaking and American history. She got hooked on radio working as a reporter in a remote fishing community in Southwest Alaska, where public radio is often the only source for news and communication.
Before coming to Marketplace she co-produced the half-hour documentary Band, about a high school marching band in Bakersfield, Calif. Amy has a Master's degree in Journalism from UC Berkeley, and a B.A. in History from Grinnell College in Iowa.
