Celeste Wesson
Senior Producer: Marketplace
Celeste Wesson has been senior producer of Marketplace since 2003. A 30-year veteran of radio journalism, she first came to American Public Media in 2000, serving as senior editor for both Marketplace and The Savvy Traveler.
Wesson started her career in radio in the 1970s at WDBS-FM, in Durham, N.C., where she was news director and DJ for a weekly women's music show.
In 1980, she was named editor of National Public Radio's weekend All Things Considered, and soon after became the program's producer. She has also served as national editor for NPR, overseeing the network's domestic coverage outside of Washington, D.C., and as a reporter for NPR's Los Angeles bureau.
