Sound Money's in-house investment expert Erica Whittlinger is tracking model portfolios suggested by several financial publications, including: CNN/Money, Fortune, Kiplinger's, and Smart Money, to see how well they will perform throughout 2003. While Sound Money does not endorse these stocks, we thought it would be interesting to follow them to learn whether they will outperform other portfolios.
Erica assumed an investor put $10,000 into each stock on January 18, 2003. "Totals" show the value of the stocks in a given portfolio at the end of the latest quarter, including dividends. "Percent change" is the total return of each portfolio.
