To My Mom

by Kristina Chaffee

My mom is my helper:
I will always have support.

She maketh me do my homework,
For she wants me to get a good education.

She inspires my creativity:
She givith me confidence by her arts and crafts.

Yea, though I walked a harder road, I feel important
For the first time in a long time;
Thy love and understanding comfort me.

Thou you can be out spoken and bossy, you teacheth
Me to be a strong young woman:
Thou annointest my life with love, my heart runneth over.

Your generosity and love shall follow me all the days of my life;
And I shall dwell in the house of my mom, till I'm 18.
