Monday
For the Overview piece, we used "Chan Chan" by The Buena Vista Social Club, from the CD Buena Vista Social Club.
For the Barrel feature, we used "Magnetic Rag" played by Katia & Marielle Labeque, "Swing Valse" by Gus Viseur et Son Orchestre from the CD Cafe De Paris, and "Doing Better in Life" by Henry Townsend from the CD Cairo Blues.
For the Databurst we used "Sloppy Drunk Again" by Henry Townsend, from the CD Cairo Blues.
The bridge we used was "Darlin' Boys" by The Dillards.
Tuesday
The radio fragment in the Tour feature (country style picking) was by Merle Haggard, from a recent release, and recorded off Missouri radio in situ. Local musicians from Ike's Chat 'N Chew played the song about themselves and "Goodnight, Ilene," from the melody by Leadbelly, ""Goodnight Irene."
The Databurst music was "Anga Y Jimmy" by Caravana Cubana from the CD Late Night Sessions.
The bridges we played were "Back in the Saddle Again" by the folks at Ike's Chat N Chew, and "Wall Street Rag" by Scott Joplin, played by Richard Zimmerman from the LP set The Complete Works of Scott Joplin. Scott Joplin was, of course, a Missouri resident.
Wednesday
Our Databurst music was "Baba" by Oumou Sangare, from the CD Worotan.
The first bridge music was "Chucho Carabali" by Caravana Cubana, from the CD Late Night Sessions.
The second bridge was "Don't Be Angry," by the local musicians at Ike's Chat 'N Chew.
Thursday
For the Trucker Economics feature, we used Tchaikovski's Piano Concerto No. 1, performed by Van Cliburn with Kiril Kondrashin directing the RCA Symphony Orchestra, and Tschaikovsky's Symphony Number 1 (Winter Dreams) performed by Gerard Schwarz conducting the Seattle Symphony.
Our Databurst music was "Route 66," by Kevin Mahogany.
Our first bridge music was "That's How Much I Love You," by the local musicians at Ike's Chat 'N Chew.
The second bridge was "Deep Morgan Stomp" by Henry Townsend.
Friday
For the High School feature, we used "I Love Rock 'n Roll," by Joan Jett.
Our bridges were: "Anga Y Jimmy" by Caravana Cubana, "St. Louis Boogie" by Count Basie, "Why Do We Love Each Other?" by Henry Townsend, and "Don't You Remember Me?" by Henry Townsend.
