Building a resume at Sundance

This weekend, the Sundance film festival wraps up in Park City, Utah. The festival is famous for its risk takers - those independent filmmakers who finance a movie on credit cards, then hope to find a distributor. But some filmmakers aren't even really trying to get their films onto the market. They direct short films. It's more like a resume reel than anything else. Marketplace's Jeff Tyler followed two rising directors over the course of the festival.

Those Super Bowl ads ...

Just like the Patriots and Eagles, advertisers are busy getting their game plans together for the Super Bowl. Marketplace's business of sports commentator Michael Knisley joins host Kai Ryssdal for a preview of how Madison Avenue plans to score on Super Bowl Sunday.

Award Shows

It's that time of year when we're inundated with awards shows on TV. And apparently, viewers aren't finding them all that entertaining. Ratings have been falling for many of these celebrity love fests. Host Tess Vigeland talks to Variety's Michael Speier to find out what's going on.
