The cellphone industry wants ... your child.
A publication called PC World today reports on a cell phone that doubles as a camcorder. True, there are already cell phones that can record video. The innovation here, if you want to call it 'innovation' is that the phone looks like a video camera. With a big viewfinder and a large lens. The telephone keypad is hidden. $600. This may sound like a horribly expensive toy. Parents know that with text messaging and color displays, the 'cellphone as toy' is not too far off the mark.
